U16 Female

The U16 female provincial camp is the second stage of the development and identification process that feeds Team Alberta U18. Eighty players, eight coaches, four trainers and four administrators are identified and invited to a week-long camp every second summer, after the Alberta Winter Games. After the Team Alberta Challenge year, forty-six athletes, six coaches, two trainers and tow administrators are invited to a four day camp. Through high intensity on and off-ice training, as well as classroom sessions, the athletes are given the opportunity to develop their skills within the game of hockey and as people. The U16 Program strives to create an environment where players, coaches, trainers and administrators can meet new friends, compete with their peers and approach levels of commitment and excellence that each has the potential to achieve.
This program is designed to feed the Under-18 Team Alberta that competes either at the Under-18 Women’s Hockey Challenge or the Canada Winter Games.
